Indigo Girls
Three of my roommates from college (Cham, Brynn and Heather) and another friend Emily, went to see Indigo Girls at Red Butte Gardens. What great memories it brought back. I can't believe it's been over ten years ago that we lived at The Wedge. Thanks girls for a fun night.
The Best Part...
The very best part about our 4th of July traditions is that it brings Aunt Jaquel home. My boys love when "Aunt Jackel" visits. Thank you Jaquel and Jeremy for spending your vacation time with us. We love you!
Cousins
After naps the kids enjoyed playing on the slip and slide in the backyard and then a delicious bbq. After that we get the wagons out and walk to Sugar House Park to watch the fireworks. I hope this is a tradition we can continue. Rumor has it that this was the last year the park will be doing fireworks.
4th of July
The 4th of July is probably our favorite holiday. I love the traditions that we have. I think what I love so much about them is that it's what I did with my grandma when I was little and now I get to share them with my kids. It's fun to see them do the same things I remember doing. We start out the day early in the morning with breakfast up the canyon. We always go to Church Fork up Millcreek Canyon. We have a great breakfast and the kids love to play in the dirt.
Bennett's 4th Birthday
For Bennett's 4th birthday he wanted a batman bounce house and all of his friends to come dressed as super heroes. It was a great idea. The kids were so cute. This is Spiderman Bennett and his friend Power Ranger Levi. I can't believe he's 4. Happy Birthday my amazing little super hero.
First Soccer Goal
Bennett was on fire at this soccer game. He made two goals and got close two other times. He was so proud of himself. The look on his face was priceless. He loves soccer and especially loves playing on the playground after.
Soccer
Bennet played on the same team as his cousins Rylan and Aubry this year. We love having them around and it was so cute to see their different personalities running around on the soccer field. Go Team Cousins!
Movie in the Park
Jana and I took the kids to see The Bee Movie at the park. It was so fun! I still can't believe that our kids sat through the whole movie and stayed awake. This was definately at the top of our list of fun summer activities.
Lagoon
In June we went to Lagoon with Scotts family. It was Carter's first time and Bennett's second. Bennett is still very selective about what rides he will go on, but any ride with a gun you can shoot was a go. Carter, like always, was just along for the ride.
June 2009
Bennett and Scott at Lagoon waiting to get on the train. Bennett loves wearing sunglasses. What a ham!
